Bakker Crossing Thursday League:
Thanks for your interest in the Bakker Crossing Thursday League. Below is some information on the 2 Man League that will be held on Thursdays throughout the summer.

Mission Statement:
Our mission of Bakker Crossing Men's Thursday Golf League is to create a fun golfing environment for all participants. To have a competitive but fun league that all players will have an opportunity to win prizes. To provide an atmosphere that will allow everyone to meet new people and socialize on a weekly basis.

General Information:
The Bakker Crossing Thursday league will consist of the first 20 2-Man teams to sign up.  We will divide the teams into two divisions. Each division will be split into two sub divisons.  The league will consist of 15 weeks of league play starting May 13th and finish Aug. 12th.  Playoffs will be the following threee weeks Aug. 19, Aug 26th and the championship and concolation will be Sept. 2nd.  T-times will start at 5:12 and go until 6:24.  We will try to do our best to get everyone different t-times each week.   

Format:

The format will be Four Ball Match play which two play their better ball against the better ball of the two other players. Players will use their net better ball. Each team will get a point if they win the hole, ½ point if they tie the hole and no points if they lose the hole. Whichever team has the most points at the end of the match will be awarded one point for a total of 10 points per match.  We will use 80% of the players handicap to compute how many strokes you will get on each hole.

Playoffs:

The playoffs will consist of 3 weeks starting Aug. 26th with the championship match set for Sept. 9th.  The top 2 teams in each sub division will make the playoffs for a total of 8 teams in the playoffs.  In each division teams will be seeded 1-4 based on total points.  The #1 seed will play the #4 and the #2 seed will play the #3 seed.  In case of a tie we will use the total points in your head to head matches.  We will play off for all spots.  Each team is guaranteed 2 matches in the playoffs.  The top 6 teams, out of 8, will be paid.

Subs:

Players are responsible for getting their own sub.  We do have a good sub list from the Bakker Crossing Men's Golf Association.  Bakker Crossing will make every effort to help you get in contact with potential subs but the players will be responsible for getting a sub.  ALL subs must have a GHIN Handicap or they will play to a zero handicap.

The cost of the league is $100 per team. Players must have a USGA GHIN handicap to participate. The top six teams will win gift certificates to the Pro Shop.
